Panorama Hotel and Lodge is a quiet and tranquil hotel in Suryodaya Municipality (Ilam Dist.) in between kanyam and Fikkal Bazzar, Eastern Nepal. As the name suggests, panoramic View of Shree Antu Dandha ( Sunrise view point), Kanyam (tourist Point) and Fikkal Bazzar is seen from our hotel premises. Panorama Hotel and Lodge is set in a natural environment so that our guests and visitors feel that they are living in true harmony with nature. Hotel is the center point for Kanyam, Pathivara, Fikkal Bazzar, Shree Antu, Panchakanya Temple, Ilam Bazzar (Nepal) and Darjeeling, Sikkim, Mirik (India). But the fun does not just end there… ’Kanyam’ is the biggest tea plantation estate around the area even if there are other estates around the town which could be seen very clearly as the first thing as soon as you get down your ride. Well, again if you are not much of a hiker, you could still see a lovely sunset hiking approx. 3 hours from the hotel. Don’t underestimate it. It’s highly recommended by the Tourists.

Visit beautiful tea gardens, breathtaking landscapes and refreshing mountain air. Kanyam, which offers mesmerizing landscape views and a pleasant weather throughout the year. For your entertainment you can also take a horse ride. Another attraction of the place is a group of local eateries at nearby Harkatte that serve mouthwatering delicacies.

Yellow Light Welcome Of Sun (Shree Antu Danda)

Shree Antu Trekking, a hilly district situated in the far eastern part of Nepal, is divided into 48 Village Development Committees (VDCs) and one municipality. This district is fully covered by hills except some parts of inner Terai. The district covered by pleasant natural geo-structure, temperate climate, low green hills and fertile lands, has been made prosperous by the hard work of the farmers.

Blessing From Goddess Pathivara

This temple of Devi in Ilam is believed to be the younger sister of Pathibhara Devi in Taplejung. The temple is in Hanspokhari on the southeast of Kolbung VDC, on the way to Illam on Mechi highway.

Queen of Hills -Darjeeling

Darjeeling, formerly known as Darjiling is also known as the place of thunderbolt or Dorja the mystical. Darjeeling is situated at an altitude of 2134 m above sea level in North Bengal. Darjeeling is the famous hill station in West Bengal and has spectacular scenery and offers views of the Himalayas. The scenic beauty of Mount Everest and Kanchenjunga, the two highest peaks of the Himalayas, is something never to be forgotten. Darjeeling is built on spur on the Ghoom Sanchal Ridge and faces the Himalayas and the surrounding hills. These hills are thickly covered with coniferous forests or terraced tea gardens. The upper reaches of the popular hill station were originally occupied by the Europeans who built houses with commanding views. Nepali, Lepcha, tibetan, Bhutia and Bengali are the various people that lives in Darjeeling. The best season to visit Darjeeling is from October to December and April to June.

Gateway to Sandakpur

Sandakpur is the highest peak in the district of Ilam, Nepal and West Bengal, India. It is the highest point of the Singalila Ridge in Darjeeling district on the West Bengal-Nepal border. The peak is located at the edge of the Singalila National Park and has a small village on the summit with a few hostels. Four of the five highest peaks in the world, Everest, Kangchenjunga, Lhotse and Makalu can be seen from its summit.[3] It also affords a pristine view of the entire Kangchenjunga Range.The western part of Sandakpur peak is located in Sandakpur rural municipality (ward no. 2 & 4) of Ilam District of Province No. 1.The trekking starts from Ilam Bazar via Maipokhari, Maimajhuwa, Mabu, Kala Pokhri Bikhe Bhyanjyang to Sandakpur. And also from ilam Bazar via sulubung, jamuna, hangetham (special for birds like spiny babbler, blue tit etc.), piple, kalipokhari, bikhe vanjyang to sandakpur. In this treaking route jamuna is most valuable for trekkers. There were many beautiful places like dhap pokhari, choyatar (special for red panda). There was a three jungle hile samudayik ban, choyatar samudayik ban, hangetham samudayik ban.

Todke Jharna

Todke waterfall (टोड्के झरना)is located in the hills of Maimajhuwa near Mai Pokhari in Ilam district.The fall feeds the Mai River. It has a height of 85 m.The fall is accessible by trekking from the district headquarter.The local government is initiating to increase tourism in the area by developing roads and lodging facilities near the waterfall.

Maipokhari

Mai-Pokhari (pond) which has nine corners. The magnificent lake is covered by a dense forest of juniper, oak, and birch fir. The place boasts of flowers such as rhododendrons and orchids, and if you're fortunate enough you'll get to witness some unusual animal species such as red panda, musk deer (Kasturi), porcupine, leopard, jackal and much more. Even Mai-Pokhari has a religious meaning and is called a holy pond devoted to Goddess Bhagwati. A fair is conducted annually between October and November in which Hindus and religious groups from Nepal, India, and Bhutan participate. Mai Pokhari is 18 km away from Ilam Bazaar and can be reached in a private taxi within 30 minutes drive.

Siddi Thumka

One of the wonderful places to enjoy the views of sunrise and sunset in Ilam, Siddhi Thumka is located at an altitude of 1800m. The three hour trek from the Ilam Bazaar takes you to this places which provides spectacular views of Terai flatland, the Mahabharat range and the Churia Mountain range.

Hans Pokhari

Hans Pokhari is a locality in Nepal and has an elevation of 1,704 metres. Hans Pokhari is situated nearby to Kutidanda, and northwest of Majhuwa. Hanspokhari is located 8 Kms South from the proprety.
